The Challenge
The vehicle was towed in on a Monday with a suspected engine failure. The goal was ambitious but clear — complete a full engine rebuild in under 14 days, without compromising on quality, safety or reliability.
Our Process & Timeline
- Monday: Vehicle towed in and assessed
- Days 1–2: Comprehensive diagnostics completed, confirming engine failure
- Days 3–4: Detailed estimates prepared, presenting the customer with clear options — engine rebuild vs replacement
- Friday: Customer approved the engine rebuild and parts were immediately ordered
The clock officially started.
Saturday – Day 1
The engine was removed and fully disassembled, ready for machining first thing Monday.
Monday – Day 2
Engine block and cylinder head were delivered to our preferred local engineering shop, where they were tested and precision machined.
Tuesday & Wednesday – Days 3 & 4
All required parts arrived on time, allowing our technicians to complete the engine rebuild efficiently and methodically.
Day 5 (Current Stage)
The rebuilt engine is now ready to be refitted into the vehicle, followed by quality control checks and testing to ensure everything meets our strict standards.
The Result
In just five working days, the engine rebuild was completed and prepared for reinstallation — well ahead of the original 14-day target. This outcome was achieved through:
